French Toast Dippers

Ingredients

  • 4 slices oroweat Country Buttermilk Bread
  • 2 eggs
  • ¼ cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 pinch salt
  • ½ teaspoon cinnamon
  • ¼ cup sugar
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • Maple syrup
  • Vanilla icing
  • Strawberry preserves

Instructions

  1. Cut each slice of bread into 4 strips.
  2. Combine eggs, milk, vanilla and salt in a bowl and whisk together.
  3. In a separate bowl, mix together cinnamon and sugar.
  4. Melt butter in a large skillet over medium heat.
  5. Dunk bread in the egg mixture and place in the skillet.
  6. Cook, turning frequently, until each side is golden brown.
  7. Once cooked, immediately place in bowl with cinnamon sugar mixture and roll to coat.
  8. Serve with maple syrup, vanilla icing and strawberry preserves on the side.
