ORGANIC Ingredients

Our organic ingredients are grown in a way that helps make the soil richer and promotes bio-diversity.

Fewer EMISSIONS

Today, 380 of our bread delivery trucks use alternative fuels that release 60%-70% less smog. These vehicles are powered by compressed natural gas, liquid propane autogas, liquid propane, or electricity, which contain less polutants that standard conventional fuels like gasoline or diesel.

REDUCED WASTE

10% of plastic cut from our bags by reducing their thickness, saving
2 million bags per year.

Giving back

We donate 1% of our revenues to support environmental causes as members of 1% for the Planet. As part of our commitment, we provide public food gardens in urban communities with resources to thrive in order to help increase awareness and access of organic and locally-grown foods.

Renewable Resources

We have invested in a wind farm in Santa Rita, TX, to power all of our bakeries around the country with renewable wind energy. The wind farm is comprised of 40 wind mills that together produce 100 megawatts of energy. This energy does not go directly to our facilities, but rather it is the equivalent electricity to offset 100% of the energy we use with wind energy.
